Industrial Design Consultant – Automotive

We are currently looking for an experienced and highly creative Industrial Design Consultant for an exciting assignment with a leading player in the transport and automotive industry. The client is undergoing a major transformation towards sustainable transport systems and future mobility solutions.

In this role, you will play a key part in shaping premium, sustainable product experiences within both exterior and interior vehicle design.

About the Assignment

As an Industrial Design Consultant, you will work in a dynamic design environment and contribute to multiple projects related to both current vehicle platforms and future concepts.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Participating in design projects focused on updates of existing vehicle platforms as well as future mobility concepts

• Driving creative ideation processes and concept development for vehicle subsystems

• Translating concepts into feasible and industrialized design solutions

• Creating visualizations through advanced 2D sketching and basic 3D modeling

• Supporting and guiding 3D Surface Designers throughout the design process

• Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams such as CMF, Visual Graphics, Interaction Design, Ergonomics, and Engineering

Required Qualifications

We are looking for someone who has:

• A Master’s degree in Industrial Design, Automotive Design, or equivalent

• Several years of professional experience within automotive design

• Experience working in a design studio environment (highly meritorious)

• Proven experience from multiple high-level design projects

• Strong visual communication skills (advanced 2D sketching and preferably 3D concept modeling)

• A solid understanding of design as a tool for brand building and business strategy

• Fluent English, both spoken and written
