Senior Procurement Professional– R&D / Manufacturing

About the Role

We are currently looking for a Senior Procurement Professional (P3) for an assignment within a high-tech industrial environment. In this role, you will act as a key link between R&D projects, local supply chain teams, and category managers within a European organization.

You will work closely with engineering teams and suppliers to ensure that products are delivered with the right quality, functionality, and on time. The role involves supporting multiple parallel R&D projects and requires a proactive and solution-oriented approach.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end procurement processes, including sourcing, supplier selection, and contract management

• Negotiate pricing, terms, and agreements with suppliers

• Coordinate procurement activities between R&D, supply chain, and suppliers

• Support approximately 15 R&D projects simultaneously

• Ensure material availability, quality, and delivery timelines

• Drive supplier performance and continuous improvement

• Collaborate with category managers within the European organization

• Contribute to strategic sourcing activities where applicable

Your Profile

• Several years of experience within procurement, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment

• Experience working with both direct and indirect procurement

• Strong experience in supplier management, negotiations, and sourcing processes

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects in parallel

• Experience working cross-functionally with engineering or R&D teams

• Solution-oriented mindset with strong communication skills

Meritorious

• Experience from R&D-related procurement or project procurement

• Understanding of manufacturing processes such as forging, casting, machining, or extrusion

• Ability to interpret technical drawings and understand production methods

• Experience working with a wide range of materials such as metals and polymers
